A BREAK!!

I am done. We struck the show Sunday and now I'm taking a break. The show went well. We had good audiences every night. We had a good time every show. And now it's over. *sigh* Tonight I have a board meeting. *laughs* so it's not completely over. But after tonight my nights and weekends will be free for the entire summer. I can play tennis, I can go swimming, I can go to the movies. I can do whatever. I'm looking forward to this. It's been a year since I haven't worked on a show. I have a stack of books built up that I want to read. I have a list of movies to watch. And we have hit the time when the weather is so fine it just beckons me to come outside and play.
I'm very proud of us. My roommates and I are cheap so we have hit June in Georgia and have yet to turn on the air conditioner. I think I like it. Yes it's been sticky and hot a couple of days but not unbearably so. We have a 100 year old house. It was built in a time when it was important to stay cool. 12 foot ceilings, windows and lots of shade.
I'm really just rambling here. Not much to talk about. We didn't have a strike party so Groovyone and I sat down in the lobby and had a glass of wine. One glass of wine turned into one bottle of wine, which moved on to another bottle of wine. It was all left over from our opening night and they were open and really who wants to see wine go to waste? We then ate a box of cheez-it's and I rolled around on the floor. It was quite fun. Gradually it dawned on us that we were in no condition to drive, so we called groovy's husband but he had been partaking of the beer. So we called alyjack, left a very loud message on her machine and were rewarded a few minutes later with a ride home. We then hung out at groovy's house and ate pizza and tired to watch the animatirx. It was very cool but people wouldn't shut up so I have no idea what was going on, although Pete tried valiantly to explain it to me.
Now I'm going to go grab something to eat before I have to go to the meeting.
