Fishes

25 June 2003-5:02 p.m.

Yet another pointless entry for today. Our fish died. Well it wasn't actually our fish, I think it was Beth's fish. (sorry Beth) I don't know why it died. I have no knowledge of how to care for fish so I merely let Meg handle it. Although her last one died so perhaps that was not a smart thing to do. She said that the last one, she thinks, overate. Which just leads me to wonder about eveolution. How is it possible that fish kept in a bowl will eat until they die, and yet if in the wild they seem to do just fine. Obviously enough of them have survived. They don't eat themselves to death outside of a bowl. Are we, as pet owners, just given the stupid ones? They are after all the ones that got caught. Is this eating till dead really just suicide? Do they hate the bowl so much? How is it possible to eat until you die? Why don't they jsut stop eating?

I think perhaps I'm putting way to much thought into this.
