Surprisingly, Life is Good 21 October 2003-12:12 p.m. Oddly enough my life is good. I have so little money that I have taken a second job. I start Wednesday. I will no longer have much of a social life but I will be able to pay my bills. I dislike my current co-workers, I have tons of stuff that needs to be done, laundry, cleaning, memorizing etc. that I have yet to do. I'm sick. And yet I'm amazingly unstressed. Life is good. I don't have money now, but I will. I get to start a new job where I talk to people, have new co-workers and am surrounded by pretty things. I will learn my story. The house will get clean. Last night I got to watch Eddie Izzard with friends, and today I get to have lunch with Alyjack. This weekend the new roommate moves in. I get to go home. Saturday will be spent sitting outside with my brother and his friends watching marching bands and eating hamburgers, hot dogs and cheese fires. Maybe we'll even go crazy and have the frito pie. This will last ALL Day. It starts at 9 and will continue until 9 or 10 that night. We are such nerds. Please don't let it rain. It has in the past. In past years there have been times when it poured. One year I walked into the registration room and won the award for most wet. I looked like I had jumped in a swimming pool with all of my clothes on. Later I sat soaking wet in the stands wathing a band and it began to rain again. Some man behind me chuckled and asked if I needed his umbrella. I just looked at him. How on earth could I get any wetter? It simple wasn't possible. But it was still fun. Also this weekend I think a trip to El Zarape will be in order. If Pirates is still playing we will go see that on Sunday. I believe that is the plan. So while huge chunks of my life fall apart, it doesn't bother me. Life is good. Saturday, life will be very good. This makes me extremely happy. |
