Go Ahead...Be Jealous, You Know You Want One.

"A Wild Christmas." This CD that I have in my hot little hands is "a festive holiday recording composed entirely of animal sounds."
I know you are all jealous that you do not have "This very special holiday recording composed entirely of animal sounds. Some of these sounds you'll recognize as being natural animal songs themselves" because often have I gone walking in the woods only to hear the woodland creatures joining their voices to sing a Bach cantata. I would think to myself "if only someone would capture this on CD, my life would be complete. And now I have such a CD.
But I need not settle for only "natural sounds" For it tells me "Others may sound like instruments, but they are digitally transformed animal sounds." Yes! I have all my life yearned to hear "dolphin voices lengthened to sound like violins, humpback whale and walrus voices shortened to sound like a bass."
This is truly a special Holiday CD. However the number I'm really looking forward to hearing is a sung by a sweet little Central American Bird...Oh yeah the ever famous potoo. "the common potoo is a Diva, singing beautifully with it's flute-like voice in the Bach cantata, the Czech carol and other tunes" Yes she is a DIVA!!!
As we know "Their woodland and ocean habitats diminish, but the wonder of animal voices continues to intrigue and haunt us"
Excuse me now I must go and listen to this beautiful CD. *wipes tear from eye at the wonder of nature*
ETA, Have now listened to CD. The wonder of nature is burning in my breast. I am choking on the inspiring vision of the songs. Or possibly I am choking on my own laughter as I fall out of my chair. I never knew dolphins could sound like that. So far Feliz Navidad is my favorite with Deck the Halls running a close second. My roommates now think I'm nutters. And to answer a question, No this wasn't really a gift, someone donated it to the library and the A/V person gave it to me to see if children's could use it in a show. There is no way I'm letting my boss see it as she probably would want to build a program around it and I couldn't do that and not loose my ass from laughing. So I took it as my very own. Now that I have heard it I will never let it go.
