My Birthday.

02 February 2004-4:57 p.m.

It was my birthday Saturday. I've never spent a great deal of time getting excited about my birthday. I think this stems from once throwing a party that no one came to. This was the year after I threw a party to which my friends came and then dragged me off to some guy I disliked immensely's house and then proceeded to watch a movie which I had no desire to see. I spent the evening sitting on the floor of the front hall talking to some random guy who was waiting for someone to pick him up so he could go buy pot. Oh yeah it was a fun time.

The end result of the many years of love known as junior and senior high left me somewhat ambivilent towards birthdays and birthday parties. I don't get super excited. I haven't thrown a party. I think I'm hesitant to have a party because even though I know I have friends who would come and we would most likely have a lovely time, I still have a deep fear that no one would come.

This year instead of having a party, I had some new friends come down from Atlanta and we spent the day roaming around town. I haven't laughed that much in a 14 hour period ever. We had a blast. I also was given a homemade cake by my boss, cards from several co-workers and was wished "Happy Birthday" more times than I can count. I had phone calls from the ones who couldn't be here, and people I loff muchly, yet have not met took time to wish me well. I got the funniest card ever from Dezzikitty It surprised me. I know it shouldn't but it did. I love my friends. They are t00by and wonderful and silly and great and just as loffly as you could ever want.

I had a terrific birthday.
